    Hi all,

    Sorry I'm late with this news. I thought I had already posted this. The call for the 2020 ISAP Open International Online Exhibition is now live on the callforentry.org website. The link to the call is here.

    Our juror is Dean Mitchell, award-winning, Internationally exhibited painter. 

    You can learn more about the exhibition and review the prospectus here.

    The call is open through May 31. Submit your entries today!

    Heads Up All... We're preparing for our 2020 Exhibitions...

    The first will be our Open International Online Exhibition. The call should open 3/1 and remain open through 5/31. Jurying will occur 6/1 - 6/10. Our juror will be Internationally recognized watercolor and acrylic artist Dean Mitchell. We are still reaching out for donor merchandise awards. Some of our dependable past sponsors have already donated.

    Our second show will be our All-Member Online Exhibition. The call should be open 9/1 and remain open through 11/30. Jurying will occurr 12/1 - 12/10. I have asked an esteemed artist to jury this show and will announce at a later date.

    Get painting... I'll post again once the calls are open on callforentry.

    A woman from Malaysia reached out to use through Facebook informing me that her father, an acrylic painter, had passed and was there a way to pay tribute to him. I suggested she post some of his work on our Facebook page along with a tribute. When I saw the work he created, I fell in love and felt his passion for art and for acrylic painting through his work. Though he was not a member of ISAP, I wanted to share his wonderful work with all of you so you could feel as inspired as I was.  Here is her tribute.


    Cheung Pooi Yip (1936 – 2019)

    Cheung Pooi Yip was a self-taught artist, who had pursuit his passion of art for more than 60 years. While he shouldering a burden to support his family’s living at his age of 13, he possessed with a deep passion in art. Colours, is the language of his creativity in his very own style. He built his foundation skill and pursue a passage with transformation. He followed his heart dictate, searching the truth and beauty of art.

    The call for the 4th Annual ISAP All-Member Online Exhibition is now open. This call is open to all active members of the Society. If you're dues are not current, please pay your dues prior to entry. Because this is a members-only call, the call is not listed publicly on the www.callforentry.org website. You may click the link in the email you received or, new this year, you may click the link on the exhibition page for this call on the www.isap-online website.

    Our juror is Filomena Booth, an acrylic artist who was featured in Acrylic Artist magazine. A full list of cash and merchandise awards can be found on the exhibition's page on the website and in the call on callforentry.org.

    The deadline for submissions is November 30, 2019.

    A new call will be opening on June 1 and will close on August 31. This call's purpose is to find the next generation of outstanding acrylic painters. The show is called the "30 Under 30" Open International Online Exhibition. The show is open to all acrylic artists world-wide who are 18 and over and under the age of 30. 

    The juror for this special exhibition is Nancy Reyner. Nancy is tasked with selecting 30 paintings, 1 per artist, to represent this group of talented, young artists.

    You can learn more about this show by going to the exhibitions section of this website, selecting 2019, and opening the "30 under 30" exhibition page. There, you will find a link to the show and a link to the prospectus as well as Nancy's bio and a listing of awards.

    If you know some outstanding young acrylic painters, please let them know of this opportunity.
